Red Infusion is a 76 x 60.5 x 1.5cm acrylic based on Jackson Pollocks style of painting

Red Infusion is an acrylic painting influenced by Jackson Pollock who is well known for his drip technique style of painting.  Pollock used house paints in his paintings however for Red Infusion I used thinned acrylic paint.  The lines in the painting help the eye to rove across and around the canvas.

Metallic gold and blue shines through in different light and adds contrast to the red background.

Hidden within the depths of Red Infusion is a mystery to find.  If you look behind the marks you will see  several red blooms created using the Dutch Pour technique.  The contrast is subtle and enhances the overall look of the picture.
